Thinking of you at 5pm - how does a horse funeral work? When I split up

from my ex many moons ago I had to leave behind my gorgeous schoolmaster

horse but due to the fact that I was moving to London and was basically

starting from scratch on my own had absolutely no choice. He was 23 when I

left and he died when he was 26 - I had no contact with him at all - wish

you could fight for horse custody - it was really heartbreaking. In fact I

grieved for him twice. I only owned him for 5 years as I learned to ride at

the farm where he was being used as a training horse and the owners felt

that he had done his time and we fell in love with each other so they gave

him to me. Your loss has made me reflect and wish for the time all over

again - I was so lucky to know him and I really miss him. Horses have got

wonderful souls and enormous hearts - I am so sorry to hear your news
