It wasnt a horse funeral, but I did have my angel cremated at a cemetary in

Cambridge. I wanted to witness it, but most people prefer not to. I wanted

to check it was really him, as I was worried he may go for meat, and I might

have got a box of mud back (I know it sounds paranoid, but there are nasty

mean people out there, and he was a member of my family).

I watched on a screen as he was shoved into an oven by a tractor, it was not

pretty, but having seen him dragged from his stable by his head, I was kind

of mentally prepared. My heart is in recovery, but at least I know that the

ashes I pick up tommorrow, are his, and only his, and I can start sleeping at

night!

So sorry to hear your story. People who never have horses, dont understand,

that they become your friends, and part of your family to a greater extent

than any pet I can think of (and I have lots!).

TRy to think of the good times!
