Guest guest
We will be praying for you. I think of you often and again wish that you were here so I could take at least a couple of the boys to help you somehow. If there is anything I can do from here. Guest guest
More of the same here with Chris. Possible medication reactions and/or seizure activity, moods still labile, and lots of behavior. Some of the behavior is agressive and related to irrational raging, some is due to deliberate manipulative attempts to control everyone to get his way. As his size and strength escalate so too does the seriousness of managing his agression and moods. Last summer he swung a baseball bat at a friends sister. Last week he physically attacked a friend and his sister. He has successfully used behavior to get out of school several times. What's going to happen if he fails a grade? Or seriously injures a student while in a rage? Today his doctor felt he would be best served in a behavioral health unit for a few days until we can figure out what the meds are doing, what things are medication reactions, what is manipulative behavior, and if seizure activity is a factor. Hopefully this will provide the opportunity for him to stabilize his moods and get the meds figured out, and get him the help he needs before adolescence hits us full on. He's been fortunate to not have juvenile authorities involved so far. I'd like to keep it that way.

This must be so hard to do, , but I am positive it is the right thing to do. It will be so much easier to get the meds right with someone watching him 24/7. Will he be in Portland, or closer to home? Guest guest
I think that this would be a step in the right direction. I just hope that you feel ok about it. It has to be very difficult to lose control of the situation. I am speaking from the perspective of someone to whom control is very important. I truly hope that this helps get a handle on his behaviors and helps you guys too. Good luck!
