Guest guest
" And a pack of duMaurier's! " my husband the smartass added. > > <sigh> > > Oh, the humiliation. > > Jacquie ((((jacquie)))) how i know that feeling... when joshua was in 1st grade, they would talk about the " just say no " program (about saying no to drugs, cigs...you know) he would bring home paperwork on all this in his backpack and show me it...And then tell me over and over, " mom, i wish you would quit smoking, you know you are gonna die " .. what a shot to the heart...You'd think it would have made me stop, cold turkey. But, alas, im still smoking...He still says things to me now (he's 15) but not as much...I keep wondering to myself, either this is gonna not make him want to smoke OR its gonna make him want to, since he's seen me smoke all his life.(his dad smokes too) it sucks!!!!!But i have to be honest, i told him if he wants to do something, let it be smoking, rather than drugs or alcohol, especially. He has seen the bad effects of that, first hand. So far, he's such a good kid, being a teenager, those are the worse years. I just pray he stays this way. ugh...the guilt!!! nancy
Guest guest
My kids always do the...who will be my mommy when you die? or our lungs are black, and we do not want you to have black lungs. It does make me feel guilty, but I try not to smoke around them. I do not know if I should tell them I smoke so I do not kill all of you!! Thats not completley true, but it sure is a great reason.
