In Melbourne there used to be a few that advertised in the local paper. I never looked into them much but they seemed to offer a full package with antenatal (CBEs) and postnatal support, as well as lactation consultants etc. -- Sue
Guest guest
Well done you, I have also handed in my notice and stop working at Christmas to do my ANT training and straw silk glassware. Guest guest
Kirsten and Debbie - it's really nice to have some joint " job leavers " ! I am leaving at Christmas too (though mentally I have left already). I feel as if a weight have been lifted off my shoulders - I know the kids will keep me busy but at least there will be one less thing on my mind. How old are your kids? I'm really impressed by your plans to do training & arts and studying... how and when will you manage to combine that with the kids? Guest guest
Karina, I value my evenings highly for study and my straw silk! and thankfully DS who is 2yrs still goes to bed at 7pm and sleeps through. He is very good really and I have alot of help with him from Mum a couple of days a week. After Christmas the Straw silk will quieten down a little and I will be able to concentrate on Studying for a few months Kirsten Re: NCT in Perth was ANT training > Kirsten and Debbie - it's really nice to have some joint " job > leavers " ! Guest guest
I cover glass with Japanese straw silk and decorate on top of that. It is very effective and as far as I am aware there are only 4 of us in the UK that do it! Thankfully we are all on different sides of the country which is convenient for sales. I have a web site which is :- http://www.mycbsite.com/sanctuarycrafts/door/ if you are interested in what it looks like. Unfortunately the picture doesn't give it much credit! Hope this explains it a bit better Kirsten re: Re: NCT in Perth was ANT training > Kirsten > Congrats on making the decision. I price them between £4 for a small candle cup to £25 for a one off large vase but generally between £10 and £18 quid. Not alot when you consider that each one takes around 3 days to make!
