Guest guest
Has anyone any experience of the plastic storage bags you squash using a vacuum cleaner. Do they work? Are they a lot of hassle and will my pillows (some feather and some foam come out usable? Likewise a double duvet. DD2's room is also the guest room and at the moment it looks like a bedding warehouse, If I could get all the junk under the bed and in the bottom of the wardrobe it would be brilliant! I tried them for my garden furniture cushions and they didn't work at all well but they are OK with duvets and pillows, though I don't know about feather as we don't have them. I think the problem with the garden cushions was that they were too uneven because I have been told that if there is even one small pocket of air somewhere this gradually grows and the vacuum is eventually lost; so one item per bag is fine but don't try to put too many in as this will cause air pockets due to uneven packing. Hope that helps. Akiko
Guest guest
I found that pillows and duvets compressed well but when shifting them around in storage the zip tended to come undone a tiny bit and then let air in. But if you could store them somewhere without them getting moved, they'd be good. I just shook them out a bit to reinflate...seemed quite good. The make were I think Lakeland... Guest guest
I bought a couple from ?Innovations, but the hard plastic strip on one which secured the bits of polythene together was faulty - and despite repeated calls & promises of a replacement I just gave up. I imagine you would get better service from Lakeland if they do them. The one we did use was OK, though like Caro, I foud that it eventually started to reinflate. You have to take out the contents and shake them out every yr or so. Worth a try! Barbara
