Guest guest
My step-sister is a Pediatrician and she just told me on Sunday that we should expect to do PT until our youngest is 18 months. OMG – seriously??? It will not be as aggressive as it is now (5x/day), but we will have to keep an eye on it and be sure to continue some of the stretches. Just FYI… his tort does not seem that bad compared to some of the children I have seen. The good news… our children have issues that we can help them with. They are not diagnosed with a terminal disease or something that will impact their physical or mental capacity. Remembering these things helps me to keep life in perspective! Best wishes, Jenna Mom to Gavin (2 years) & Tyler (5 mos. - Tort, Plagio and Brachy: getting ready for DOC band)
Guest guest
Hi. I don't really agree with that. From everything that I have always read and heard, PT is often recommended until the child is walking or until the tort is resolved. My Daughter had PT for her moderate tort from 4 months until she was 10 months old. Her tort was considered to be resolved at that point, and she was also starting to walk. We did the PT through early intervention and it was once a week at our house. Good luck.
