Guest guest
We had a lovely NCT day today. The men (6 of them) went 10 pin bowling and the ladies (7 including a single mum) all met up and fed 15 children and then the men joined us. We threw the big boys (over 5's) out into the garden (had to rescue the dog at one point before the RSPCA were called out by a neighbour!) and we all sat and had lunch together (13 adults!) We ended up sat having coffee and have come home with 3 shattered boys - 1 in bed - 2 ready to go to bed. It was a lovely day, confirming my thoughts that the NCT is a great organisation. By the way one of the men thinks that FLYlady could be really FLYman keeping his wife in check! I think we will stick to our original plan! Trisha SAHM to 3 boys Jack 8, 6 and Isaac
Guest guest
We have done this on several occasions now. Some mad person (normally me or Rachael) have hosted it at their house! (You should have seen the state of Rachael's playroom when we left!) and the men have done 10 pin bowling and golf. This time it would have been Go-Karting but they left it too late to book. We do try to make the men squash into one car (one of them 6 seater Fiat things today) as it makes them talk to each other. It does have a good side - as the men get used to each other and they now have a fairly regular men's night out. It is usually the same bunch of alcoholics (sorry men) that go but they do get on well and we often have a new man joining in. I think it does add a family sense to the group and makes the NCT not just something for the women. Guest guest
Sounds great Trisha - did you hire a hall or have a mad family offer to host?
