How to fit them into cars... was Re: large families

This must be true! Doubt if my mum would have had 4 if there had been

car safety regulations at the time!

As it was, the three oldest crammed in the back - usually sleeping on

top of each other in big pile - and my baby sis slept in her

pram/carry cot in the boot. Imagine!! OK, so my Dad took the shelf

bit out, so we could all hang over our seats and gurgle at her...

Then when she got older she joined the rest in the bact seat, sitting

on someone's lap. It's not that long ago either, she is 10yrs younger

than me.

their opinion was that it is > harder now as she used to just throw

them all into an estate car and not > worry about seat belts (or
