Don't know if it is appropriate for a Jewish wedding but thought I would mention it. Trisha SAHM to 3 boys Jack 8, 6 and Isaac

Guest guest
Ruthie - I know you will be very busy yourself, but I hope you are going to detail someone specially to take lots of pics for us of Zehava's wedding?! And will you have a special meal for her in the following week at home, so we can have pics afterwards as well? Caro

I'll try and get someone to take some digital ones with my camera, but on experience at the engagement party, whoever I handed my camera to, didn't take a single photo. Guest guest
We did this for our family weddings too - my sister got married a couple of weeks ago so it is fresh in my mind. We put the cameras on the reception tables with the following rhyme: A camera's on your table, The time to snap has come, Take some photos of your neighbours, And pass the camera on This camera's one of several, With 27 inside, Please share it with another bunch, Whose table you're beside. So photos of our Wedding Day, With smart hats, flowers, all formal, Will be enhanced with candid snaps, Of you lot looking normal! I *composed* it for my wedding, tee hee. You're welcome to use it or part of it if you want! phine (Mum to 4 & Ben 3, Cambridge NCT) > What a phenomenal idea!!!!!! I love it I love it. Guest guest
Can I just add a little piece of advice to the disposable camera idea ;o).. 1 make sure that they have a flash (my friend didn't and got black pictures) and 2 make sure that no one spills redwine all over them (happened to one of the disposable at our wedding and the pics in that roll was ruined).. Lonnie mama to Phoebe and Eloisa and expecting a Christmas delivery.. When the jar is always full of biscuits What's the fun in biscuits?? Guest guest
I'm beginning to think the disp cameras idea originated in Scotland! I haven't been to a ish wedding where disp cameras *weren't* on the tables and can't believe it's only just hitting y'all darn sarf! ;-)) The photos the small children take are very good. Because they're little they take them from a lower angle and you get some lovely, unusual shots. Guest guest
We didn't have any at our ish wedding, but then again, I don't think they had been invented yet. Sounds like a good ish way to avoid forking out for a professional, I must admit. The idea has been around Darn Sarf for a while. I've been to lots of office parties where disposable cameras have been provided. I've never actually seen the pictures though, which is probably just as well. I asked that people made sure there was at least one photo of each person on their table. And then there was a 'guestbook' for everyone to sign, with a blank space for their photo. A really special keepsake (did the same for DD naming day.) Liz
Guest guest
.....and make sure they don`t fall into the hands of small children! At my niece`s weddings, thanks to my great-nephews - there were 10 cameras full of squiffy shots of nothing very interesting at all!
