Guest guest
Now I remember (perhaps more than a year ago) discussion about the above. Does anyone know where I can get one? Very sadly a couple of weekends ago I fished a drowned *baby* hedgehog out of our pond. :-( I never even knew we had hedgehogs visiting the garden! I would love to encourage them, now I have made the pond safer. phine (Mum to 4 & Ben 3, Cambridge NCT)
Guest guest
Wigglywigglers have one. Their address is BHPS, Knowbury House, Knowbury, Ludlow, Shropshire. Probably have umpteen editions of said Hogalogue lurking around. (Cheap and informative membership too) www.sttiggywinkles.org.uk has an on-line shop and they have one - cheaper than the BHPS one I *think* In case you don't know ('cos some people at the RSPCA don't) bread and milk is not at all good for them - gives them diarrhoea. They do like dog food, though you can buy tins of 'Spike's Dinner' from some pet places now. *****SKIP WHAT FOLLOWS IF SENSITIVE OR EATING OR HOPING TO**** Had a *very* bad experience with a sick hedgehog once which involved maggots. Ex-DH picked hedgehog to take it to the vet and it split right down the side - full of maggots. Not surprisingly the only thing the vet could do was to put her to sleep. They are *so* stoical - and *so* prone to infected and infested wounds. -- jennifer@... Vaudin
