Disney problems

I've got stuck with some of my Christmas shopping. I went to Kingston about

3 weeks ago and popped into the Disney Store to see some wonderful Buzz

Lightyear pyjamas which I thought would be lovely presents for my two

budding Buzzes. The boys were with me at the time so I didn't buy any (but

they didn't see them). The next week we were in Aberdeen so DH and I popped

into their Disney store where I found some for DS1 but not for DS2. There's

no way I'm giving them to only one of them because there would be so many

tears, so I thought I'd find the smaller pair when I got home. I've been

chasing up the Guildford store now for the last two weeks and they're

useless. They have a delivery four nights a week. So far, the right size

(3-4) have not come in. They cannot tell me when they will, they do not

know what they are getting in each order, they cannot order it in for me,

and if it should turn up, they cannot hold it for me. I just find it

amazing that at this time of year, when plenty of other stores and companies

will try to help you, this lot are not interested. I'm not going to get

worked up by phoning them everyday just to find out if they have one (and if

they did, I'd have to jump in the car and dash straight over), so will

probably take the bigger pair back and just forget that present. It's so

frustrating.

Now I've just tried to do three online orders. One with Lakeland, but 5 of

the items I wanted weren't available, one with Letterbox for some

personalised cutlery but their last date for ordering personalised stuff was

last Friday so now they cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas, and the

GLTC website is not available. I'm off to hibernate now until after

Christmas..... :o(((

On a more positive note, I wanted to get some stuff at Argos this morning so

rather than have a wasted journey I used their ring and reserve service and

it worked beautifully. Plus I tried to get a magazine I wanted last week at

WH who didn't have it. I contacted the magazine directly to see if

there was a problem and they sent me a copy in the post straightaway, so

there is good service out there in some places!
