Guest guest
<<<Anything that says dry-clean or handwash goes back>>>>> I must admit that the clothes being dry cleaning does not bother me in the slightest.. I have to take dh's suits to the dry cleaner on a regular basic anyway so just bring my own trousers etc at same time.. Even the girls have a few outfits that are dry clean only.. Now handwashing now there is a thing I can't be bothered with lol.. Lonnie mama to Phoebe and Eloisa and expecting a Christmas delivery.. When the jar is always full of biscuits What's the fun in biscuits??

The lady who did it for me spent most of her time with corporate clients, such as sales teams and executives, and included aspects like body language. Practical stuff like jeans, jeans, and more jeans but in nice colours (Lands End are good and Pedlars have some groovy leopard print ones atm). More trousers that aren't denim. And some seriously impractical high heeled boots for those 'I'm a supermum' days. (oh and nice underwear just 'because'). Something coat-like with *lots* of pockets. And leather is extremely practical around mess, muck and sticky fingers as it wipes clean... -- Helen Armfield helen@...
Guest guest
Ooh, I've been invited by the Gladstone family to a champagne reception for the Pedlars preview next week at Fasque House. It's the same night as our AGM but I'm going to try and fit both in!! Lesley (name dropper!) Hand washing is also a no no - the hand knit jumpers for the boys along with anything else that says hand wash go into the washing machine on 40 degree woolly wash and come out fine. I then dry them on the radiator rail. Trisha SAHM to 3 boys Jack 8, 6 and Isaac

My husband takes his own clothes to the dry cleaners - I would find it a bit difficult to wash his suits and silk ties at home!! I have a 30 degree delicates cycle on my machine so all handwash articles go in to that. I find a gentle spin for all wooly jumpers helps them to keep their shape much better than drying flat from soaking wet. The thing that is a real no no for me is anything that needs ironing. The only person who is allowed shirts that need ironing is my husband who has to have double cuff cotton shirts for work - a complete pain to iron I can tell you!! Akiko (who should be upstairs ironing 6 shirts!)

The only things that go in my ironing pile are those blooming double cuff shirts - Dh will only wear these sort. Thank goodness he works at home most of the time..mind you he is very extravagant with his casual wear, as my post a while ago about him over spending in 'Versace Jeans' in Rome will testify! Aaagh! Do not remind me! I have 10 upstairs to do (unfortunately the 'I mustn't pick up an iron because of the standing etc' has worn a little thin'.) My DH insists on the double cuff, 100% cotton, sheer he*l to iron version too. The only person who he thinks can do a good job (apart from his goodself) is my mum! As I said before - she finds ironing theraputic!
