Guest guest
Any one have much experience of using these? In particular what is a carrier and why would you need to use one? Are carriers re-usable and how long do they last? Liz Goudie
Guest guest
not recently... but when I was teaching (school) I used one a lot (4/5 years ago...don;t think they have changed much!!) The carrier is the card folder thing you put the laminate pocket and contents (Thing you are laminating) into to send it through the hot rollers which seal it. Its basically to prevent the laminate getting stuck on the rollers! SO yes you do need them, they should last a good few (in the 10's rather than the ones) uses with care. Maybe even more. hth _________________ Angi 0:-) Georgi 4, Susy 2, Tim 34 #3 due 4th week Jan 02 ~Kids get colds, men get flu, women get on with it~ ----- Original Message ----- > Any one have much experience of using these? Guest guest
Liz, You can get cold laminators with the laminate(?) - plastic cover thingy coming in a roll - quite useful if you are laminating non standard items. Hot laminators need the carrier - stops the sheet sticking and should ensure a smooth bubble free finish. The carrier should last a long time at least the number of sheets in the box Caroline Jersey > > Any one have much experience of using these?
