Guest guest
All you FLYers out there- I want to know how you deal with Hot Spots. Flylady tells us to clear them down - but *Where* does all the stuff go - e.g. school letters, party invitations, swimming enrolment rules, Brownie dates, PTA stuff, stuff which needs to be kept until the moment is passed? Do you have one BIG hot spot somewhere? Fess up ;-))) Barbara
Guest guest
Well I don't subsribce to fly lady (thankfully!) - but I pin all my hot spot stuff on a big notice board in the kitchen, and then occasinally throw out the out of date stuff. Guest guest
Oh don't! My house is full of hot spots! I cleared the worst one at least three times on Sunday and now the DK's have chosen a new one!! School things either go on a notice board (one of those efforts with ribbons that you just tuck things into) or the grandly named Education Drawer of the sideboard. You could use a wicker basket to put things into, as well. That's what I do - 2 wicker baskts on the go atm, one for " Christmas " and one for " Stuff " . Guest guest
Me too Alison! I've been tidying up today, eg. moving one hot spot on top of another so I do have some clear spaces but a very precarious tall hot spot and will never be able to find what I need ;o)) Hannah Re: Fly lady - hot spots My hot spot is my computer room! Guest guest
My hot spot is my computer room! Where on earth would I put all that? Perhaps I could have an extension built so that I could move all the hot spot stuff out of my computer room into a Hot Spot Room..... Alison Oh don't! My house is full of hot spots! Guest guest
We have two filing trays (office A4 ones with riser bars, one above the other) at the far end of the breakfast bar. His and hers. Mine also seems to have DS's bits too. (Perhaps we add an extra one on top for DS - hadn't thought about that). Works OK but as mine is the top one I seem to get stuff dumped there then have to reallocate DH's stuff to his tray. (Sounds good, but I ought to mention I also have 2 trays in the study - both mine, and DH has one in the bedroom, so several " organised " hot-spots here, and plenty of unorganised too!)
