can some one tell me i why it is good to be by sea air, if the lungs are already

to salty anyway??? and I are thinking of moving back to the beach, we are

living in a damp cold part of New Zealand.

Hi ,

The lungs are not too salty, they (and the whole body) loose salt very quickly.

So, for some people with CF, the salty air replaces some of the salt in the

lungs. I think that a while back someone on here mentioned that there was a

study saying that sea salt was a better replacement in food than table salt, I

wonder if that fits in here too? Some here in the states, are sold to use

saline solution in their nebulizers too. hope I didn't make more confusion!

We are asked to use saline in our son's neb.

But I think I would rather live by the sea, my hubby and I are starting

to really consider moving to a warmer climate, like New Zealand or

Australia. We are here in the north, Canada, Toronto area.

We are both teachers and we hoping to get teaching jobs somewhere.

Hi Cheryl - I live in Springville, NY South of Buffalo. I have some ggod

friends from College that live in the Toronto area and we enjoy visiting TO! Do

you ever visit NY? My daughter is 9 w/ CF and I Have a 6 Year old w/o
