,

All my life I have known that smoking is really bad for kids, period.

Ever since I had children and way before we even knew that we had a

child with CF, nobody could smoke in my house or around my children.

CF or no CF, it has been proven that children that are exposed to

nicotine are at higher risk of asthma, sinus problems, and all sorts

of respiratory problems, upper and lower. Now, you do not have to be

rude, if your family, specially older folks, can not understand the

fact that you have a young one, w or w/out cf, then they have to

understand that you are not going to have them around them, just p/u

and go. You can not worry about hurting somebody's feelings, when

they are hurting your child.

When it comes to smoking I am as bold as they make them. This is not

a joke or a game, this is serious business.

Here in the States, I have seen stickers that read " smokers have

rights, too " , not in my space.

Love,

mom of a 9wcf, Venanzio 6 nocf, Pepe 3 nocf

I agree 100% with you there is no Place for it and if people really

love a child they will not and would not want to smoke around them. i get so

angry when I hear people say that are afraid of hurting someones feelings

about not smoking, What about when a cf childs Aunt Uncle or grandparent

picks CIGARETTES over their neice, nephew or grandchild. Talk about being

hurt. Like I said in my post to , LETS GET REAL CF is A FATAL LUNG

DISEASE SO WHAT is There to discuss about Smoking. NOTHING thats what I

say/. Sorry had to vent again..
