Guest guest
Hi everyone, I haven't written or responded to much in a while. Emma had an appointment about two weeks ago. She is right around the 75th percentile down from the 85th. We had some minor adjustments with her diet due to the fact that she was/is gaining but at a slower rate than they wanted her to so we are now adding in a little more fat. They also increased her enzymes up to seven Creon 5 per meal. She still continues to eat pureed foods only. Tonight I tried repeatedly to get her to chew on some small pieces of ravioli and she puked on every single bite that I gave her. She just refuses to chew and tries to swallow it which causes her to gag and vomit. I am getting so frustrated with the non-progression to solid foods. My husband is being laid off on Friday. He hasn't found a job yet (he's been looking since January when he was told they were moving everything to Michigan) but i found one. It will be a decline in income for our family but with his bonus, severance, etc, it shouldn't have a big impact until next year. My husband will now become a stay-at-home dad. It will take some getting used to but I think he will enjoy the time with the girls. BeckyB, I am sorry to hear about . I know nothing about MAI or B.Cepacia but my thoughts are with you. I hope his tests are negative. Becki (Miss Goober Girl), I regularly think about you and your struggles. I was glad to hear that you put yourself on the transplant list at Duke. We worry a lot about you. Rosemary, I was curious how things are going with your husband? Any better? Torsten, Are you and Silke getting any sleep? or is Sebastian a night owl, like most of those little creatures. I hope all is well with everyone. - mom to the butterfly girls Emma 2 1/2 years old w/cf and acid reflux and Isabelle 4 1/2 years old wo/cf ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
