Guest guest
The other day I asked (10) to take the sheets off his bed. I went on the tell him how most kids his age have many chores. He looked at me and said " Well most kids Don't have CF do they??? " How do I respond..? I told him - well, that life - so you have CF...that doesn't make you sick! Either the kids are sick and complaining or healthy and verbalizing their complaints........... Rosemary in NY with 3 children (12, 10 and 6) with CF. I have a dog named TOBI and coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT "
Guest guest
I have the problem with my 12 year... How come I have more chores than Traci, who is 9. One of Traci's " chores " is to do treatments that takes an hour from her day. She also makes her bed, feeds the guinea pig and emptys the silverware from the dishwasher. You can't win! Lynette Mom to Traci 7w/cf and 11w/ocf
Guest guest
I have made it clear to my kids without CF that doing masks and having/doing physio, cleaning mask equipment, putting away the therapy board, setting meds out as part of setting the table are all considered chores. It doesn't mean my son with CF doesn't have to tidy his things up, take down his laundry, clean off the table or do other chores, just that we do take into consideration that the CF-related stuff are chores too and give credit for that.
