Kimber, mine didn't itch so much except as it was healing a couple

of weeks after surgery, but i went through a time when my scar began

to sting and sting and sting. I ended up going to the doctor's about

it because it was hurting so much. It was only my right side at the

end of the scar though. I also felt very bruised around that are,

but had no bruises. My doctor told me it was the nerves growing

again, so I didn't worry, but now I still get pain and my new

oncologist who happened to be pushing around that part of my scar

said she felt little lumps and hopes it's just scar tissue formed. I

had a ct scan last week and will find out if there is anything new

growing there...reason being the tumors I have growing tend to grow

wherever I have had surgery, so far i've been lucky and not had any

grow in my incisions..well, i find out today..so fingers crossed

that none of these tumors have grown in size

My itches do sting some times. I usually describe them as " sparking " as

sometimes it reminds me of someone trying to spark a fire from a rock in

the way that it comes in little bits at a time. It has continued over a

few years, getting longer and longer between times when it happens.

Remember, nerves can take up to 2 years to BEGIN to heal, depending on

how much they were cut. The less amount of nerve connected, the longer

it takes to begin healing. I read about that in an article from Discover

a couple of years ago, but I don't remember which issue. It was an

article about healing and such for broken backs and necks. I certainly

will pray that there are no tumors in or around your incisions. Nasty

stuff. Makes it difficult for anything to stay healed.
