Guest guest
I hope I had not over done it being only 2 weeks after surgery; but something is wrong. The pain is pancreatic, the nausea and steatorrhea is back, and at the lower end of my incision line I noticed when I got out of the shower there is a large red blotch. All I did was go to the grocery store and buy the usual stuff for a family of five. I picked up the kids afterwards and they brought in everything and put it away. Geeze all I did was put stuff in a buggy and write a check. Well it was a rather big check,,, smile. I hope I didnt hurt anything. I'm kind of scared. Oh and on the Narcs and driving; if we discharge a pt from the hospital to his own care and he has had narcs within the 6 -8 hours depending on the drug; he will have to call a cab, bus, sister, any body but we cant let him drive. The hospital could be held liable. Some drugs have a longer half life, like demerol is 10 hours; that is a long time for the life of a drug!!! 'Thanks for letting me whine, I think it would bother me most if the procedure had not worked at all.

Thanks for letting me whine, I think it would bother me most if the procedure had not worked at all. , How soon is your next appt? Didn't you say you were supposed to see Dr. tomorrow or sometime this week? It may be nothing, but if it were me, I'd err on the side of caution, and get myself into MUSC tomorrow (preferably) or next day at the latest. Best thing that could happen is that they'd check you out and find nothing, and you might feel silly for a few minutes....but then you'd know. Don't try to be brave about this, please. Have the doctor check you out and get some answers. Take care. I'll check in with you tomorrow to see how it's going. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
