Jenna,

I can only tell you what we do in those cases. We put Eilish onto

whatever for 10 days then if no better book in to the Cf Clinic. Then

her Dr. there usually changes the med's. to another one or 14days. Then

if still no better he treats aggressively with IV antibiotics. I know

each country does it differently. We follow the Danish method of

treating aggressively before lung damage is done.

junky cough

If anyone out there can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Hannah, who

is 20 months, had been on amoxicillin for three days, she had a nasty

sinus

infection, got diarrhea extremely bad, she was changed to Ceftin for an

additional 14 days. She got off of the Ceftin on May 31. Over the past

week and a

half she had developed a wet, junky cough, no fever. Her tonsils are

huge.

Strep test came back negative. She is swalling all of the mucous,

causing

extremely thick, mucousy stool. She is doing albuterol every 4 hours

and pulmicort

with albuterol in AM and PM and chest pt 3 times a day. Symptoms are

not

being relieved after 4 days of all of this. Any suggestions? Should I

take her

to the CF clinic?

Thanks,

Jenna
