Guest guest
I'm sorry your not feeling well; I know what you mean about sitting at the computer when your feeling lousy. Hope you feel better soon. You do have a point though, there is a medical double standard. As a clinician; I can testify that there is no greater reward from a patient then to see them recover. Yet when it does not occur as we expect it should; there's that; well we did all we can do.. now it's up to you to get better. I believe every health care worker should be a patient as some point; to see what it is really like. I have to admit, also, that when this perscription I have runs out I am scared to ask for more (if needed); because of being judged. I dont think you have to be brave and " take " the pain; but there is a trade off to have your witts about you. But I dont think we should have to beg to be treated well; and regardless of whether you need to increase or decrease your dosage on an as needed basis, you still deserve to be respected. I will be honest and say that when I was diagnosed with CP; many of my co-workers assumed it was because of alcohol. Granted; I partied, maybe too much when I was younger; but I was being judged by people who know me well; I became defensive and decided that I was not going to tell them the cause. Let them think what they will; it really doesn't matter. You need to trust what you feel in your heart to be the right thing; even if it turns out less then perfect. I guess in a nutshell what I am trying to say dont loose faith and do what you feel is right and screw the rest. BTW I have never seen real snow! Sorry this is so long.
