Guest guest
Hi everyone. Just letting off some nervous energy here. We had the CVS (Chrorionic Villus Sampling) test done on Monday up in Kansas City. They take a sample of the placenta and test for CF. I am 11 weeks pregnant now and I have to wait until June 25 at least for results. I am just nauseous all the time because of this wait. My husband and I have decided to end the pregnancy if we find out the fetus has CF but oh how we will party if it doesn't!!! Well, at least my husband will have a beer or two! I will just scream for joy. I am so envious of other pregnant women who have next to nothing to worry about. Especially those smoking, drinking, 16 yr olds who have perfectly healthy babies. ugh. That's all. Just venting. mom to Ashton, 2 w/cf, 11 weeks premature, g-tube fed
Guest guest
Doesn't it make you extremely irate when you see a pregnant woman not taking care of herself or her baby. My sister in law smoked and drank during her pregnancy. She also took Zantax for anxiety, after he doctor told her it was not safe for the baby. Amazingly enough Hunter was born happy and healthy. She stuck around for the first year, then abandoned him. People don't realize how truely lucky they are to have a healthy baby ~Wendi > Hi everyone. Just letting off some nervous energy here. Sometimes the unfairness of it all seems overwhelming. I hope the waiting goes by quickly and I hope the results will give you a reason to have a huge party! Guest guest
I totally agree, we know a couple and the women is smoking and not eating right. And it just drives me crazy. Then there is my sister who was good through her pgs and has 3 healthy children. She goes and puts her 2 oldest boys in the car with out seatbelts and lets them ride in the front. And only makes her 35# 3 yr old dd where the seat belt with her booster when she is still small enough to wear a harness. MInd you she does wear her seat belt. It just drives me crazy to see people purposely endangering their children unborn and born. When i did everything while i was pg and still do and have to deal with everything we have to deal with. OKay had to get that out LOL. > > Hi everyone. Just letting off some nervous energy here. We had > the > > CVS (Chrorionic Villus Sampling) test done on Monday up in Kansas > > City. Guest guest
I have to say I had my first son who was born with CF and my second son was born without. My first son was not diagonsed until my second one was 6 months old. We decided from that day on we would NEVER have another child. We have since adopted a baby daughter three years ago. We saw her the day after she was born and brought her home from the hospital with us. She fits into our family so much people never think she isn't ours. She has my husbands skin tone and eye color which my two boys don't have. She has the same hair color as my boys. We feel she was meant to be mine even if I carried her. I don't think not being able to have a child is a great loss when adoption is out there. I feel so lucky to have had by boys and now just as lucky to have her in our lives. I look at other pregnant woman/girls and know what they are going through and sometimes I wish I could of had her but I would never change a thing about adopting my daughter. I hope you all look into it that want more children because it is a great experience. I too went through the why us and how come I did everything to have a heathly child like not drinking/smoking and taking care of myself but I just realized that things happen for a reason and to teach us things in life. You want to hear how ironic life is? Our son is adopted and we just found out he has CF. He was adopted at birth; he is almost 8 now. Perhaps you'd better have a blood test done LOL! jan
