Guest guest
Scot, My diabetes was diagnosed as " brittle " after my diabetic ketoacidosis attack last March. I wasn't diabetic before this happened., but we found out my blood glucose had been as high as 1,000 and in that range for over three months prior to the attack. A brittle diabetic is a person who experiences unpredictable, out of proportion rises and falls in blood glucose, within short periods of time as a result of very small deviation from schedule. As you can understand, it can be very frustrating to control. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl.
