Hello there,

I'm sorry you have had such a rough time. Sadly, though, it isn't

possible to tell for certain what is causing your pain, although it

could be pancreatitis, of course. Even doctors couldn't be sure just

from hearing your symptoms or possibly even from a physical

examination as well.

The best thing would be to be referred quickly to a good

gastroenterologist if that hasn't already happened.

He or she could then carry out all the tests needed to make as

accurate a diagnosis as possible. Pancreatitis is not the easiest

disease to diagnose anyway, so it is especially important to begin

with a good , experienced gastro who, ifnecessary, could then refer

you on to a pancreatic specialist/surgeon.
