I wasn't the one that suggested the librax, but I'm sure glad it helped.

Please don't think that you could have done anything to deserve cp! That's

not the way it works at all. Do you think for one minute that the innocent

child who ends up with cancer or some other horrible disease, or even cp,

did something to deserve it? The way that I look at it is, 'why not me?'.

How dare I think that I am so special that I should be spared illness and

hardship. One time my mom said that I was so young to have so many health

issues to deal with. She said it just didn't seem fair. I told her there

were many younger than me with many more serious issues. I asked who she

thought it would be more fair to have the health problems I have. I said,

" should I wish my problems on the single mother working two jobs trying to

support her kids; maybe I should wish them on the grandmother that is having

to raise her grandchild because the child's mother and father were

unwilling; anybody else you can think of that I should wish my problems on? "

She said that she wished it was her instead of me. I told her that it

doesn't work that way and that despite the many health issues, my blessings

were numerous, and that having her close enough and able to be there for me

was just one of my many blessings.

In my opinion, there's nothing anyone could ever do to deserve cp, or

cancer, or any of the other terrible diseases and illnesses that sometimes

someone just gets 'lucky' enough to have. Someone has to have them and for

what ever reason, those of us in this group were the ones. Now why I get to

add autoimmune hepatitis, which only happens to about 1 out 100,000 to

150,000 people depending on where you read, to the mix of lupus, cp,

diabetes, and the antiphospholipid syndrome (an autoimmune clotting

disorder); I have no clue! Just lucky I guess! Now, if I only get so lucky

when I go to the casino!

Take care and keep your chin up. Take things a day at a time and if that is

too much, just take it an hour at a time.
