Good morning Scot! What a change in attitude from last week! It

sounds like you've reached a point it took me at least 3 years to get

to.

Some added suggestions from my own past 10 years of dealing with this

if that's ok?

This one doc is definately NOT the only good GI specialist out

there. I was considered an alcoholic & drug addict here, & was

starting to believe it. When I moved to Atlanta, the top GI

specialist in the state of Georgia did some different tests & told me

that I couldn't possibly will myself to have pancreatitis. He

practically insisted for me to stop the self defeated thinking I had

become so accustomed to. I can't tell you the relief I felt. I

think just the stress of not being treated with respect & compassion

was making my symptoms worse. I don't want that to happen to you.

You sound prepared for the best or the worst, & whatever happens,

don't give into any pressure you may get to feel like you just don't

want to try to deal with the pain. NO ONE who hasn't had this

understands how much it hurts. I still get angry when I hear someone

else being treated the same way. Keep your cool, be respectful, but

be firm. The doc gets paid to care for you, not the other way

around. I also want you to be ready for the same stuff to happen in

the future. I'm still dealing with it. If not from a doc, from

another health care worker. And ALWAYS remember that you are not

only entitled to adequate pain control, but you deserve it as well.

Don't let anyone make you feel like you're just a drug seeker, ok?

(This is a sensitive subject for me so I get very vocal about it.)

I'll be praying for you & try to do relaxing & stress relieving

things things this weekend. Sometimes that can ease some of the

pain. And I wish you the best for your docs visit!

Hugs

Deanna
