Hi , I had bcbs of al and they gave me the run around until LInda

T called them. Then things fell into place. Thank goodness. It is

about a 10 hour drive for us, but it's cheaper than two airline

tickets and we can drive others around if they need a ride. WE have a

mini van. I can't decide where to stay. I have heard lots of this and

that. I'd like to know which hotel had the seperate bedroom wtih two

tvs. Maybe someone will read this post and tell me. I know I have

seen that criteria posted before.

Dinah,

My headaches went away so far, I just wasn't sure if it had

anything to do with potassium or maybe something like that. I did e-mail Dr.R

and he told me to " Go to my headache Dr. and that was it?? hmmmmmm so I am

glad they went away. I felt kinda silly after I got that response. Anyways

They charged $65.00 a night, that is a special rate for Dr.R's patients, My

husband put it on the charge and I can't find the receipt. Call me if ya

want (864)284-6060. I bet you are gettin excited!!! marge

Good Morning Margie, How are you doing?Did you find you something for

the headache? Maybe if you are still not better today you should e-

mail doc.

What did the Duke Towers charge for the week. I need to get on the

stick and make reservations, but as usual I've been reading the

computer. lol

Pattie,

Welcome to the list. I too am still in the process of coping. My daughter was

diagnosed in November of 2002. She is now 11 months old and doing remarkably

well. I can totally sympathize with you, I too cry myself to sleep at night and

still get very angry (I'm not really sure at who) but I get angry about the

whole thing. It's not fair to the kids that have to live with CF. I hope that

your daughter is doing well, and as time comes things get better. I have found

this list to be very informative and supportive. Everyone here knows what you

are going through and are always here for you if you need them. There is no

such thing as a stupid question, as I have probably asked many myself. I hope

that you will turn to us on the list should you have ANY questions: )

Hi everyone,

My name is Pattie and my six year old daughter was diagnosed with CF last

February. It's been a crazy year for all of us. There have been nights when I

cry myself to sleep and days when I wish we could run away from it all. But I

have learned alot about coping from this brave little six year old. It's

amazing how strong she is. Her knowledge and understanding of her disease amazes

the people around her. I have promised her nothing but honesty when it comes

to the medicines, the doctors, the procedures and most importantly CF. Don't

get me wrong she gets angry at all the " fuss " , gets embarrased when shes

coughing too much or when mommy annoys her about washing her hands and the like.

But I'm so proud of her as I'm sure all of you are of your little ones. Isn't

it amazing how much stress is involved, but at the end of the day we can

trully say how proud of our children we are. thank you for inviting me to the

list and thank you for listening.
