Guest guest
Does not getting any answer mean that no one out there knows anything about the " biliary bypass " surgery Henry is having December 5? I've researched it on the web and don't understand it very well. It seems it's usually done with cancer, but Henry doesn't have cancer. In his case it's supposed to resolve the duct getting blocked so much. Scot, hope you get a surgeon who knows the pancreas like Dr. Pappas at Duke does! It's a slow process, but Henry is back to his normal weight now and feeling good. What did it was going off food completely for several months with tube feeding. But he still needs the duct fixed so he doesn't have to go through being stented every few months. This is the first surgery he's had besides ERCP's and tube and stent insertions. Hope someone can explain it to me better than the technical stuff I found on the web. Ginny White, Statesville, NC
