Guest guest Posted November 24, 2003 Report Share Posted November 24, 2003 Hi Heidi, If you can find your file that has a more technical description on pancreatitis burnout, I'd appreciate it if you could place it in the " files " section of the group or share it. I'm getting close to complete burnout of the pancreas or at least that's what the surgeons said after I had a modified Whipple operation in May 2003. My pancreas is completely calcified but they poke it a number of times with a syringe needle and it bled so there's still some life yet. I'm also a border-line diabetic and I've had a number of pseudocysts. I noticed from some of the recent postings that some are opting for surgery. I avoided surgery of three different pseudocysts over the past 8 years. I guess I didn't avoid the surgery so much as surgery wasn't pushed by my doctors during those periods.
