Guest guest
I messed up that post! I meant that I can eat about 4000 calories a day before my weight starts to rise! The cousin, Solis, was 71, wcf, and was happily in the middle of sanding a table--loved wood working--when he just died. His wife, honoring his wishes, waited a few minutes before calling 911 and did NOT do CPR. I mean, he WAS 71 years old and was thus spared the vent, etc. He was a marine biolo gist and had asked that his ashes be scattered at sea, which we did, and both dolphins and wales were there; I like to think of him continuing his work down there. He had two adopted children who were expecting this, and we were all celebrating his life. His wife (no cf) was older than he and they had been married since they finished the baccalaureate de gree in college, so the " kids " are not exactly toddlers; they have their own families and kids--no cf yet, though each is a carrier--by a fluke! Thank you for asking. I think that in the usa we just do not know how many very old persons with cf there actually are; I have one cousin with cf (of many) who is older than was and personally know several who are also in their seventies. I got a post from his wife after I returned and she experienced the same thing that I myself did when my husband died of cancer. It sort of dawned on me that no one would make my coffee for me in the morning (or tea), and all the household and yard ch ores that would now be mine! Ironic that one should think of that. I miss my husband every day and I am sure that 's wife and very adult children do as well, and the grandchildren, too. , thank you for ask ing. It's o.k. to miss posts--I only had over 10,000 to sort through when I returned after eight days! Love to you, and to all at cfparents, n Rojas, who hopes that kids and adults are holding up!
