Guest guest
I have been trying to catch up with all checking the post. Scot I am so very glad to you were able to get the meds you needed and the appt with the surgeon. That is very good news. Kimber now that you have gotten all the forms to your lawyer, how long will it take before you know what you are eligible for? I hope it doesn't take too long, the holidays are stressful and hectic enough without the added burden of struggling for benefits. Donna how is your daughter and her family? I do so hope the treatment is going well. I would reallly like to meet the guy who said the only pts with cancer should receive oxycontin. That is just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Heidi, bless your heart, I've read your post and all the wonderful advice you have given so many. How are you feeling? Any new info about your pseudocyst? I've also have been cooking the traditional meals low fat and I haven't dissapointed any one, yet. I'm not cooking this year so I have it easy. Bert you've been very quiet, things OK at home. Sweet sweet Fliss I would love to have you over for the traditional Thanksgiving feast. It is my favorit holiday and hasn't been commercialized like the rest. How are you feeling? Do you have a time frame in which to decide what you should do? Deanna, I would love to meet you face to face, we would probably talk till our jaws ache. Well ya'll I have not been doing well at all. The pain has gotten considerably worse. I called the hospital and talked with some of the residents over the weekend, Sunday was my wedding anniversary. My husband and the kids went to his grandmothers wake. Yesterday was the funeral it was so hard to be there with the whole family and not let on that I was in agony. When I got home there was a message from my surgeon that he wanted to see me first thing this morning. I spent most of the day there. He believes the stent is clogged and wanted to admit me. I talked him out of that. He did say that I could take 200 mg of demerol every 4 hours. Demerol is one of those scarry pain meds and I was concerned about toxicity. He said you can have 2000mg in 24 hours; it is not advisable but it can be done. If I had to take that much pain med I would definetly go to the hospital. He did say that it could go either way after the stent is pulled on Monday. Either I will be better or worse. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I forget sometimes that I do have so much to be grateful for in my life. I know all ya'll do as well. I think I might finally be climbing out of that dark depression I have been in.
