I can tell you what I do: I put 1 and 1/3 cups of almonds into the blender with 4 1/2 cups of water and blend for 10 mins. I strain the almond milk, add the appropriate amount of yogurt starter (should say on the yogurt starter bottle) and ferment it like regular SCD yogurt.
