Guest guest
Patty, congential pancreatitis means that the doctor things there is something physically wrong in your body that is causing the pancreatitis. A pancreas divisum (divided pancreatic ducts, or malformed ducts) is a congenital form of pancreatitis and can lead to chronic pancreatitis. There may be other congential forms of pancreatitis, but I don't know what they are (I have a pancreas divisum). Idiopathic pancreas means that the doctors don't know why a person has pancreatitis (ie. the doctor's are idiots as to why you have it as one of my doctors told me). Hope this is of some help.
