Guest guest
My question concerns SCD approved dairy foods when switching from GF/CF to SCD. I have a lead-poisoned son with symptoms of autism who has been GF/CF for several years, with increasing varieties of foods withdrawn over the years (sound familiar?). He has now been on the SCD diet for a couple months, with some " forbidden foods " taken during the school hours. My question is this: since the theory behind the SCD diet is carbohydrates and sugars that are causing the intestional problems, what is the recommendation for those children switching from GF/CF to SCD -- how has the addition of SCD dairy foods effected the children when they have been introduced? Guest guest
Sharon, Look back through the posts just from today and the day or two before. There have been several posts that address this very issue. Patti, interim list moderator Dairy? Guest guest
with lead poisoning you may never get out of the vicous circle cause lead depresses enzyme function i would look at houstonni enzymes www.houstonni.com pep, hn-zyme and no fenol with rice bran oil filler and in capsules maybe starting with hn zyme (pep and hn-zyme need to be sprinkled on food and not swallowed whole in capsules) pep really helps with dairy generally with lead posioning i would imagine dairy helps cause of the calcium andrew 'if its simple and doesn't hurt it can't be good right?' from 'quotes by whoever knows' > > My question concerns SCD approved dairy foods when switching from GF/CF > to SCD. > > I have a lead-poisoned son with symptoms of autism who has been GF/CF for > several years, with increasing varieties of foods withdrawn over the > years (sound familiar?). Guest guest
If you break the vicious cycle by using SCD alone, many but not all people, will not need to go the enzyme route. This is one of the reasons it is not mentioned in the BTVC book, and our family has proven, again this to be true. When the gut heals so does the bodies ability to naturally chelate and detox it self of dangerous heavy metals, many " allergies " vanish. I do realize that we all have unique situation. Just sharing our success with " just " the SCDiet.
