A few mintes ago,I posted the report of a little girl who recovered

on SCD without early intervention.

I want to clarify that I am not recommending that any child skip

early intervention programs such as ABA or VB. I was concerned about

's language because she was not getting ABA. It was this

concern that led us to the discovery that there was a die off

reaction to the yogurt.

When the mother told me that the yogurt was making little

irritable but giving her great language improvements,I urged the

mother to continue with the yogurt. Up until then,I had advised

parents to stop the yogurt if there were ANY negative reactions but

I made an exception because this girl was not receiving any

intensive intervention. I was surprised to find out that the

negaitive reaction to the yogurt disappeared after about a month.

BTW,the Lyris list closes for an hour in the middle of the night.

That little girl lives near me. I was invited to meet her at one of her therapy

sessions. She

had Listening Therapy. The mother posted frequently and long as she continued to

improve, participate in school and bond with her sibling.

Elaine related to me that she was disappointed as the mom gave up SCD in one

year

without waiting the additional year after symptoms were gone.. One of these days

I will try

to see how she is doing.

She was an exceptionally beautiful little girl and had been invited to grace the

cover of an

autism magazine, but her parents valued her privacy and declined.

Meeting that adorable child was one of the early experiences that made being on

what was

then Elaine's Children, so meaningful.

You guys, thank you for posting this...this just makes me have soooooooooo

CONTINUED hope for our autistic daughter...and I cry in relief to read about

this beautiful little girl who healed without other interventions...because I

feel so crapey right now having my three month die off!

I pray that KiKi doesn't suffer any more....she is just flourishing now. It is

like everyday we get to meet our " new " daughter.....thank God for Elaine's

work....and thank God for KiKI...because if she had not been born to us, I would

have never known that I had celiac disease....or this problem with bad gut guys.

She is truly a messenger to my entire family.

God Bless, Antoinette family of ASDers healing when no other way worked

Unfortunately Sue did not continue on SCD. They live 30 minutes

from me and we met and kept in touch for a while. Sue's parents no

longer wish her story to be publicized.
