Guest guest
I e-mailed Dr. Pappas today and asked him what the name of the surgery Henry is having Dec. 5. He answered " biliary bypass. " I understand it is a more permanent " fix " than the plastic stent Henry has in his duct now (his second one since last March). Has anyone on the Board had a " biliary bypass " surgery? How long was the recovery time in and out of the hospital? Henry is also having his gall bladder out at the same time (through the incision). Since his J-tube was taken out at the end of the summer he has gained up to his normal weight of 140. Does having no gall bladder make diet any more of a problem? He takes enzymes and can eat about anything within reason. No pain at all from the pancreas. But we can't understand why he ACHES all over so much of the time. Does anyone know the reason for this? I remember several people have mentioned the same symptom. Ginny White
