Guest guest
Hi everyone, I spoke with Keri and Josh today. Keri has been sitting up in a chair. She sounds great. She said that she can tell that the pancreas pain is gone but she has surgery pain which is being taken care of my meds. Josh told me that Keri had her pancreas, spleen, part of her stomach removed. She is recovering really well. She has a tube in her nose for now. They don't keep the nose tube in for long though. I remember that my nose tube was removed right away. As I believe Jean has already said Dr. Sutherland told Josh that Keri's pancreas was hard and shaped different from a healthy pancreas. They are hoping that Keri will not be a diabetic but since the doctors were only able to harvest one hundred and forty-thousand islets Dr. Sutherland told Josh that she could be a mild diabetic. Brandan I believe had less islets harvested than Keri and Brandan isn't diabetic. So I have hopes that Keri won't be diabetic. Josh told me that stopped by yesterday to say hello to them. She will be having her surgery Monday. She is eager to have the surgery so her pain will end but apprehensive also. I know just how she feels since I went through the same thing. Lets all keep in our prayers. I hope I have her name right since Josh said he thought her name is . He as well as Keri have been through so much.
