Guest guest
My son would often help himself to the bananas in the bowl on the counter before they were SCD ripe, plus we have always been greenish banana lovers, so this became a problem with SCD. Since I got a lot of extra cabinet space changing to SCD, I just put my fruit bowl in the cupboard. It serves the same purpose too as putting fruit in a paper bag and helps it ripen. I stick fruit that is ripe enough to eat in the bowl, so kids can help themselves, and then put firmer fruit behind the bowl, out of sight. Cantaloupe does not do so well though, and will get moldy in a day or 2. So I stick them there for part of a day and then set on the counter.
