Guest guest
You did say that you had worked with a vet. You also said you had worked in the animal shelter as well. That would break my heart to see so many beautiful animals abandoned. I live in the country and you would not believe how many people will just dump unwanted animals in the woods. Cats will go feral, and reproduce more feral cats. Dogs however, are not as self sufficient as cats. I used to take them in but it got to be too much. I have to call the dog catchers. I hate doing that; but it is more humane then letting them starve on a back woods dirt road. Out here there is also a big problem with dog fighting and cockfighting. That is so repulsive. I have always thought boxing and wrestling is repulsive too. Even though I have to admit during the Olympics the Greco Roman Wrestling with those hunky guys in those tight little leotards rolling around on one and other was kinda hot...LOL. Anyway I deviate... I have a things for birds; especially birds of prey. There was this group call the Rapture Society that would take care of injured raptures; eagles hawks olws and the like. I had gone to several of their seminars over the last decade or so. Well last year they joined forces with a group from England and are in the process of building the largest Birds of Prey protective society in the country on 1500 acres just down the street from where I live! Princess Anne was here last spring for the ribbon cutting. I am very excited as I had tried to volunteer before when I could and am looking forward to retuning when I am well. It is very cool. There is also a group in Mt. Pleasant that find, spay and care for the feral cats. I love animals too. I love my dogs, they are the coolest frisbee dogs and can jump over your head for a frisbee. Border Collies; they are brothers and soo smart. I want to take them to frisbee and agility competitions one day. I really hate how this condition has put so many of my dreams on hold. Not stopped; just stalled. Bright side I am saving a fortune by not traveling as much as I used to..... there is always a silver lining.
