Guest guest
Hey I have a couple of questions. First, I have a friend who's son has asthma or so they think. The docs are doing a sweat test some time this month. He is doing pulmicort respules now and she's noticed he's been having a sore throat. Is this common with pulimcort? Could it be a reaction from it? I have no real dealings with this med so I thought I'd ask the experts, lol. Also is almost 5 and has never done a PFT. When do they do them? and if she should've already had one done should I insist on it? She does have lung problems so I was just wondering if we should do this soon. Thanks, Jen mom to 4(5 in a month) w/cf, Yolanda 4 w/cf, Phynix 14 months and running w/cf and Orion 2 months NO CF! _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
Guest guest
Hi Jen, My 6 w/cf has been on Pulmicort for a couple of years and I do not remember a sore throat. you do have to be on the stuff for a while for it to get in your system and work well. now for the PFT's my has never had one done but, each time we go to clinic he does try to get her to blow into the machine but she refuses to do that. Hope this helps. Tracey Oldham 6 w/cf and 21months w/cf Pulmicort and PFT's Hey I have a couple of questions. First, I have a friend who's son has asthma or so they think. Guest guest
you do have to be on the stuff for a while for it to get in your system and work well. Can your daughter tell she is getting something inhaled? My son was given a sample inhaler with 200 puffs but he says he feels/senses nothing coming out of the inhaler. He says it is empty. jan
Guest guest
we do ours in the nebulizer. It runs really fast thru there compared to the Zopenex or Albuterol.
