Guest guest
The GAPS book is much more comprehensive for ASD population, it addresses issues like toxcity, chemical sensitivity, and even education. Agape, Bunce wrote: GAPS book recommends SCD, but she also recommends things that Elaine disapproved of. So caution please everyone. Read your BTVC book first to see where the changes occur and then question everything first before trusting it. The SCD TM diet doesn't work that well when we change even small things like the probiotics. It looses it's integrity. Hope this helps to clarify things for the new comer, Antoinette (celiac 02/06 healing when no other way worked and we tried)

They sure are relevant to me. I have MCS but I discuss it on another excellent Canadian list dedicated to MCS or would gladly help anyone via email if required. I'm here to speak and learn about SCD. I also am an avid dog lover (mine are SCD compliant) but am not going to suggest you read Stanley Coren's book on The Intelligence of Dogs. My time is limited. My personal priorities are finding great ways and recipes to help in implementing the diet. I am also a writer who likes to write about SCD. I am also a person who finds being pro active and speaking up about what I believe in makes me feel good and mentally clear. My tummy appreciates that point of view but I know many people may not. In this respect, I may be siding with . It is said of me " Carol shoots from the hip, but she shoots straight. " Carol F.
Guest guest
Dr. NC's book is an SCD book and related topics, like you said you discussed with Elaine (MCS) , that's one of the reasons why I wanted your take on it. MCS is a whole other topic. I process those issues at: MCS-Canadiansources@... That doctors' book is a commentary on Elaine's work, not an SCD book. BTVC is an SCD book. Lucy's Cookbook is an SCD Book. Grain-Free Gourmet is a cookbook with suitable recipes and tips on SCD but suitable for others on special diets who have the same restrictions. Raman Prasad's book is an SCD book. These books were done in consultation with Elaine or were submitted for her approval. At the DAN in 2003 just about everyone praised Elaine and her work and applauded her but most of them were not SCD. Carol F.
