Guest guest
Hello Shirley, I can't tell you about insulin pumps although I have thought a little about them because I am considering (only " considering " !!) having a TP. However, I thought it might be worth telling you that I am in contact with someone (in the US) who is/was brittle diabetic and had serious problems in controlling her BS levels. She has recently changed to an insulin pump and says it has completely transformed her life. She was already diabetic before she had a TP and the operation didn't help the diabetes, of course. Now she is a changed person and her docs and diabetic counsellor are amazed. If it can help in a case like this, I'm sure it will help you as you are only mildly diabetic. I do hope so! I have seen details of these pumps on the Diabetes UK web pages so I'm sure you'll find the same kind of info on the American ones too. Do you feel completely recovered from your TP now? Good luck and best wihes. Fliss
