Guest guest
, I'm glad to read a's check up went well. And big hugs to her doctor for giving you the green light on magnesium and essential oils! I'm glad he cautioned you to " know your source. " I think that's absolutely important. Yes, I remember you writing before about a doing well on lots of milk, cranberry and grape juices. I know some people cannot tolerate dairy products because it seems to thicken their mucus, thankfully, our family isn't in that group. The cranberry and grape juices are so healthful because of the flavonoids. The juice drinks is Langers Cranberry-Grape 100. It doesn't have sugar, and also contains added magnesium, co-enzyme Q10 and grapeseed extract. It's not cheap, so I buy it when it goes on sale 2 for $5.00. I've read that chocolate cravings are a sign of magnesium deficiency, and chocolate is a good source of magnesium. As a kid, I always craved chocolate; even friends of my parents knew me as " the daughter that would only eat chocolate desserts. " And my favorite dessert was/is ice cream. Whenever I'd buy ice cream (pretty frequently!), I always bought some sort of chocolate ice cream -- didn't matter what kind of chocolate but it had to have chocolate in it, and often I'd pour on the Hershey's chocolate syrup or hot fudge sauce too. But since I've started taking magnesium, I've been buying different flavors of ice cream! Isn't that wild? I'll be standing in front of the ice cream freezer and my brain is thinking, " What's wrong with you? Buy the chocolate-brownie-fudge sundae, for Pete's sake! " But my body is saying, " Ooooh, I think that gooey caramel pecan would taste scrumptious. Or how about that luscious peach or strawberry ice cream? " High stress days is when I feel the chocolate craving most. Some days on my way home from school, I'd have to stop in a store to buy one of those huge Hershey's big blocks with almonds. And coincidently, stress eats up a lot of magnesium. About the tea tree oil -- don't worry one bit about ordering the Lema Oil! Coast Bio's Lema Oil is made from the most potent fractions of manuka AND tea tree plants. Coast Bio named this special blend by taking the letters from the plants' botantical names: (Le)ptosperumum scoparium and (M)elaleuca (A)lternifolia. When I was digging around Wednesday night, I came across papers referencing Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil (Leptospermum petersonii), which even though it's called " tea tree oil, " it's actually in the manuka family. There's evidence this lemon scented tto actually has a killing power higher than standard tto or a special fraction of tto called Clone 88. But still, remember that the Lema oil you ordered contains potent fractions of both tea tree and manuka and the killing power of that oil is very impressive. Here's the link again if others want to see: http://www.manukaoil.com/lema_oil.htm By the way, I think your English is just fine. (My lack of a foreign language is embarrasing!) I mentioned the magnesium and tea tree oil to our doc, and the different things that you have written. I was pleasently surprised when he said " I am not against alternative medicine " . " Just use your judgement and make sure you know the source " . I did not ordered the tree tea oil, I ordered the lema oil, now I wished I had ordered the tree tea oil, since I probably would have saved some money on the shipping, too late. n posted some really good website links on sharktank, very informative, worth saving, for future reference, about tree tea oil. I think I have told you this before but for a long time a was asyntomatic and one thing that she did, was drink lots of milk and get this, cranberry and grape juice!!! Any link to what you have written below?? She got sick when she quit drinking milk and her juices, coincidence? I only cook with olive oil and she only will eat butter, but on the other hand she eats a lot of chocolate, she craves chocolate. Sorry, this is so crazy the way I am writing but I am writing as I remember what you wrote below and it makes so much sense, it is such a paralel to a's life. Well, thank you for sharing your knowledge, no matter how much I read, there is no way, I could have come up with this information, in plain english as you write it. Growing up I used to get really bad bronchitis, my cf gene??, and my mom would make me drink all this herbs stuff, and do garggle with all this horrible leafs, and I used to cry but I wish I had pay attention to what they were. I doubt I could find them here in the USA, our flora is so different, but I least I would know.
