Where would you recommend to get a helmet in Europe?

Hi all,

I'm new to the group. My baby is 7 months old and has brachy. I

noticed his flat head when he was 3 months old. We've been trying

repositioning since then. He also started to get CST treatments when

he was 5 mth old. After all these times, he got some improvements

but the flat head is still very noticeable, especially from the top

view.

Since time is running out, I'm afraid his head shape will not round

not properly if we don't do anything else for him. I really want to

get him a helmet. But we live in Norway and no helmet provider is

available here. So considering going to other countries in Europe.

Just wanna get some suggestions from any of you if you know any good

helmet specialists in Europe. Any particular clinic or doctor would

you recommend? Also, I'm confused with all types of bands, DOC,

Star, or Hasnger bands, etc. Not sure which one is ideal for my baby.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Elaine -

There are several STARband providers in Europe that you can consider

travelling to. They are in Germany, Netherlands, Spain and the UK. Not

sure which would be the easiest for you to get to. For their exact location

All the bands that you have mentioned are very similar. The DOC band,

STARband and Hanger Band all work on the same principal - the bands have

pressure points which " hold " the prominent areas while " redirecting " growth

in the flat areas. They are fit very close to the head in the prominent

areas and thus need to be closely monitored. The flat areas have room to

grow but not a lot and these areas are shaved out usually at each appt.

They apply a gentle pressure.
