Guest guest
I am also in a similar postition due to another nodule occurring after previous surgery. I guess their can be no definitive answer: depends on the nodule, symtpoms etc. Has a biopsy been taken? By the advice I got, it is more tricky to repeat the op a second time, a greater degree of risk. I've not gone for it, bad enough the first time. This poor soul has quite a bit to be going on with, good luck to her. x

Guest guest
Just seen your reply to my question . I cannot believe it was so long ago. This person has not yet had her thyroid out - I think she is going to have RAI as well. I do not think it is cancerous although the hysterectomy was because of cancer. She is putting off having the thyroid sorted until she is completely over the chemotherapy, which she is coming to the end of about now and also, as her daughter is getting married in August she is putting it off until after then. It is the daughter that I know. I will mention what you say to her. Thanks Lilian Hi Lilian, Depends on the nodule- is it cancerous? Is she well with only half a thyroid? Can they not do a lumpectomy? Otherwise she could be heading for thyroid problems if T4 doesn’t suit and as well as the problems a hysterectomy can cause.
