Guest guest
Hi , Not sure if I can help but here is my contribution: 1. I have used herbal pancreatic suuplements - I didn't notice any difference but then I wasn't doing this in any scientific way - I had added so many different things to my regimen that it is hard to tell what worked and what didn't. 2. I don't go to a gym but I try to do aerobics at home...I find that it sometimes makes me have a flare a day or so later. Any type of hard exertion seems to cause an increase in that type of pain (as opposed to just " work-out sore muscles) " . 3. As far as the fear of eating....that is a major thing that I am battling...I see it as strong as a phobia. I am to the point that the best gift in the world would be that I never had to eat again (other than getting cured of course). Other than the pain, I would say that this is my major symptom of the disease and it is very interfering with my life. But do you find that the doctors don't take this seriously? That the response is either outright ingnoring or the comment " well you just gotta eat " .? 4. Yes I am still working - but that is about the extent of my life. I get up, work, go home, go to bed.....Weekends basically stay in bed or on the couch. I am hoping that part of this inactivity is due to it being a snowless winter - so no motivation to go out and play. Come spring when gardening starts, I will be in a better position to evaluate the extent of my energy level. But right now, I crave inactivity. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Hi , Just a few brief comments. I find one of the main triggers for a CP attack is when I overdo physical exertion. I must be very self aware and experienced to minimize the episodes resulting from Physical activity. But, we are all different and you may be able to do it. Instead of Creon, have you tried Pancrease? Eating is always an up to the minute challenge, I've been known to get up from the table 2 minutes after I have sat down to have a meal. I just conclude that sometimes it works and sometimes it don't Again, self awareness and experience are valuable tools in developing the most successful ability of dealing with Chronic Panc. Fear of pain, you betcha, one of the most beneficial tools in gaining experience on how to live with this disease. Look at it as your ally and friend, not as your enemy Best wishes, Poncho
