Guest guest
Dear Denny, Welcome to PAI! You have fouond a great place for support, encouragement, from others who share your illness, and a lot of experience from the patient's perspective. From what I know from my own experiences of being a chronic panc. patient. It sounds to me like your repeated episodes of accute attacks may have thrown you over to the chronic group. This can only be determined by your physician, but that's my opinion. I was diagnosed as chronic in 1990, but Ithink that I may have had some attacks before that, that were not treated or diagnosed. I have the pancreas divism. Like Kimber said, it is possible after a certain amount of damage is done to the panc. for it to lose it's ability to have elevated enzymes. Another site to look at for panc. info is the Medical University of South Carolina's Digestive Disease Center. I'm sorry that I don't have the address, but you can find it using a search engine such as Google, or MSN. I wish you betteer times ahead and a definitive diagniosis. Please feel welcome to email me anytime here or at my email address, howmtp@... if you would like to discuss pancreatitis. I can tell you at least what little I know about it from a patient's perspective. Your new pancreatitis friend, Henry
