What do you mean " get in and get out? " Dr. Rutledge doesn't want you to

leave right after surgery. He's posted some changes to the patient

manual and he's gotten a lot stricter about people leaving after

surgery. When I was there last week, he was telling folks they had to

stay seven days after surgery.

Anyway, Clinic is fun. It's a chance to meet a whole lot of other

people in the same boat as you. If you go right before your surgery,

you can meet your littermates and all of you can go out for a " last

supper " with some of the visiting post-ops and post-ops who live in the

area. It is a blast and makes it all really like taking a vacation!

Maybe you can put them off until the third week of September? If you

have surgery on the 13th, you'll be fine by the 21st. (Actually, you'll

probably be fine by the 14th but you may be tired and want the rest).

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - HAWWWWWWWWWWWW! And you're all set to start

your new life with a new you. That sounds so exciting!

Best wishes for a safe, speedy and successful journey to the other

side!!

Kind regards,

, do we really need to stay the full seven days after surgery?

Even when we're from out of town? I had planned to try to drive home

Saturday. You think he will veto that? If he does, hubby may have to

fly home early so he can keep appointments. Let me know what you

think?
